What is a Work-Related Road Traffic Incident

There are many different ways in which a road traffic incident could be work-related. They could involve a member of the public hit by a vehicle involved in work activity or it could be a worker involved in a work-related activity hit by a vehicle driven by a member of the public.

A postman on duty, or a road worker could be hit by a car driven by a member of the public ? A member of the public could be hit by a lorry that is driven by someone who has worked long hours, or is mechanically defective? A member of the public could lose control of his car because he has driven near the entrance of a company which is soiled by coal dust, or he could hit a skip that has been poorly located? These are some examples of WRRTIs.
