The
conference is titled: 'Making Companies and Organisations
Safer and looks at the following issues:

The proposed new offence of Corporate
Killing
Imposing Safety duties on Company Directors;
Sentencing reforms;
Families seeking accountability;
Role of Trade unions;
This conference examines progress in, and views on,
three key legislative reforms: the new offence of
Corporate Killing ,the imposition of safety
duties upon company directors, and increasing fine
levels. It will also address the nature of legal and
other initiatives mounted by bereaved families to
improve safety and accountability. The conference
encompasses views from the bereaved, trades unions,
Government and HSE, political parties, the legal profession,
employers organisations and academia.
