Hywel was operating an overhead gantry crane when a metal coil which was hanging down trapped him.
The company Corus, the Health and Safety Executive and the police all launched investigations into the fatal incident.
Around 75 people work at the plant, part of the Corus South Wales strip mills business.
The inquest
was held at Swansea Coroners Court on 11 December 2005. A verdict of
'Accidental Death' was returned.
